Korean begins with something that makes you curious.
Explore the Korean behind the culture you enjoy, through short games, expressions, and the context that brings them together.
It starts with a small question.
You're watching a drama or listening to someone speak. You understand the subtitle, but something makes you pause. Why did they say it that way? Did that familiar word feel different this time?
Koree gives those questions somewhere to go. You can follow a phrase, look closer at a scene, and discover the culture behind the words — all while enjoying what brought you here.
Start with what interests you.
A familiar phrase, a scene you keep thinking about, or a small question about everyday Korean. Any of them can be a place to begin.
Look at the words and the moment.
Who's speaking, who they're talking to, and what happened just before can all change how a phrase feels.
Stay for one small discovery.
You can spend a few minutes with one expression and leave it there. There's no set pace to keep up with.

I'm the person behind Koree, a native Korean speaker born and raised in Korea.
With Koree, I want to share the small things that can be hard to catch in translation: why a familiar phrase feels different this time, what a pause might suggest, or how a relationship changes the words someone chooses.
I check the Korean content with those details in mind. There isn't always one neat answer, so I try to make the context clear and leave room for different interpretations.
I hope Koree gives you something to notice the next time you hear Korean — even if you only spend a few minutes here.
A small connection.
Koree carries the idea of 고리 (gori) — a link. It connects an interest in Korean culture with a closer understanding of the language within it.
